Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

The short version

Orangeshots doesn't collect your data. The app works on your iPhone, and what you put into it stays there. We don't run servers that receive your photos or your family's details, and the app has no analytics, advertising or tracking.

What the app uses on your iPhone

To make stories, Orangeshots uses:

• the photos you let it see, either your whole library or the ones you pick;
• the names and birthdays you enter for your kids;
• information it works out from your photos on the device, such as which photos show the same face and roughly how old a child looks;
• the stories, collections, notes and drafts you create.

All of this is processed and stored by the app on your iPhone. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.

What we collect

Nothing. Orangeshots has no account or sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it doesn't send your photos, faces, names or birthdays anywhere.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple through your Apple Account. We don't receive your name, email address or payment details. Apple's privacy policy covers that processing.

Backups

If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, the app's data on your iPhone may be included in that backup, according to your device settings. Those backups are managed by Apple or by you, not by us.

Photos and files you export

Your original photos stay in the Photos app. Orangeshots reads the ones you allow and never changes or deletes them. When you export a story, it is saved as an ordinary video or image file. Once you share or save it somewhere else, it is outside Orangeshots.

Children

Orangeshots is made for parents and other adults. It stores details about children only when a parent enters them, and only on the parent's iPhone. We don't knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else.

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Settings > Data & Storage > Delete all app data. This removes everything Orangeshots holds on your iPhone. Deleting the app does the same. Your original photos in the Photos app are never touched.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
